The modern economy is multimedia. In order to thrive both locally and globally, businesses must be adept at using the full range of texts, sounds and images to enhance products and services, capture consumers and establish internal organizational culture. Small business and startups are disadvantaged in this regard against established organizations that have the resources to hire a dedicated media staff. The One Minute Academy levels the playing field by teaching qualified entrepreneurs, journalists and business professionals One Minute Academy’s (OMA’s) award-winning video production methodology.
From 2021-2022, the One Minute Academy trained 1000 storytellers in Iraq to film and edit professional one minute videos. The program culminates with a One Minute Contest whereby the participants will be invited to make videos to celebrate women’s entrepreneurship in Iraq. The 10 best student videos will be broadcast live on the US Embassy Iraq’s Facebook page on November 19th, 2022 with the hashtags #buildabetterworld and #womensentrepeneurshipday

We are an educational company that spreads video literacy around the world by teaching students of all ages to film and edit one minute videos. We work with both teachers and institutions to provide students and employees with new opportunities for self-expression. These are lucrative skills for entrepreneurs, journalists, artists and anyone who has a story to tell.
We have created online video education strategies for some of the world’s largest institutions, such as Adobe and National Geographic. We have also worked with 75 US Embassies and Consulates over the last 12 years to produce international programs focused on video production and storytelling.
